Thanks to Commissioner Steele and President Toni Preckwinkle January 4th is now considered Organ and Tissue Donor Awareness day in Cook County.
President Toni Preckwinkle and Commissioner Robert Steele introduced a resolution to congratulate and salute Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White’s Office, the Gift of Hope Organ and Tissue Donor Network and Donate Life Illinois for leading the charge on promoting and coordinating awareness on organ and tissue donations.
This resolution further resolved that the 4th day of January will be considered Organ and Tissue Donor Awareness day in Cook County.
